We have color blind team members and need ways to show the status in other than RAG tracking. Shapes or letters would be great.
Otherwise, we can export the logic and create a different presentation in reporting external to Clarity.
You should be able to change the display type for an "image" field ; in a portlet you would do this in the "Fields" settings - if you also tick the the 'value' or 'range description' options alongside the 'image' option in the display elements for the relevant field then it will display additional info alongside the image.
In a portlet, you can configure that for everyone (in the admin 'Sudio' portlets options) or for a specific user (logged on as that user choosing the 'configure' option within the portlet - if that isn't available, then might need to turn that on for the portlet in the admin 'Studio; settings).
For an object this is pretty similar ; in the Views / "Fields" settings, but you only get the 'range description' option alongside the 'image' option in the Display Type settings.
But for an object attribute it applies to all users and you can only configure that in the admin 'Studio' options. (so this might not be what you want to do)
Perfect answer from Dave as always.
For a bonus tip, you could also use your own custom images i.e. an icon with R in the middle of it (at least in grid portlets)
However showing the range description is going to be a lot easier
I have explored few options before, for changing icons and I would say it is possible. Check where the image is coming from and try.
Yeah if you are on-premise then you could also edit the image files in a file called odf.png on the server (one file contains all the images) - obviously that affects everyone.
