Need to hide field in self-service screen

Hey guys,


I am working on a notification scheme for self-service users. It involves setting a custom field (zRPT_method, or Reporting Method) to a value of Self-Service by default whenever a ticket is filed from the self-service screen, then using the status of this field to send notifications to the ticket Assignee whenever a comment is logged on a ticket with this value.


What I need to figure out how to do is to include the Reported Source field on the self-service screen (detail_cr.htmpl, the Employee version), give it the default value of Self-Service, and then hide this field so that it isn't editable. The first two parts are easy - right now it shows up and defaults to Self-Service. I can't figure out how to hide the field, though, so that it isn't editable. Can anybody help me out here? A code snippet would be much appreciated.
