I have few shell scripts that are present in Unix Server. I need to connect to Unix box and run those from Devtest 8.2 , I am able to connect via " Execute External Command" but not able to run those . Any Ideas?
I'm attaching the extension built for DevTest 8.3. Extensions should be built against the version of DevTest you're using it for.. It's created as an eclipse project so you can import into Eclipse and rebuild against any version of DevTest you'd like, you'd just need to change the build path jar file locations to match the location of the DevTest jar files on your box.
If you're using DevTest 8.3, simply copy all of the jar files in the "dist" folder (including the jars in dist/lib) into your DevTest hotDeploy folder.
To add an SSH test step in a test case, right click and select Add Step -> Custom Extensions -> SSH Step:
You'll get an interface like this:
We also have an SSH Utility extension which allows you to connect into a remote server and execute commands. This is available as a custom extension which gets dropped into hotDeploy.
Thank you, where can I get this SSH Utility Exn ?
Would you happen to have the SSH Utility extension for 9.1.0?
I am using 9.1 and changed the build path to the 9.1 version jars for my devtest. I am seeing null pointer exception when running the script. Even with the older version of 8.3 I saw this.
java.lang.NullPointerException at com.lisa.utils.controller.trilead.xterm.XtermEngine.runExpect(XtermEngine.java:108) at com.lisa.utils.controller.trilead.SSHStep.execute(SSHStep.java:287)
never mind got it working
