We have two servers setup with Oracle RAC.
I have installed Oracle probe on one of the server and managed to connect to oracle database. Do I need to install oracle probe on other server as well?
I don't usually install the oracle probe on the oracle servers themselves: I put it on a management server instead. From there you can create connections to the necessary instances through the tnsnames.ora. I believe otherwise it'll depend largely on how your RAC is setup. I'm not very familiar with it, but I've come across at least a couple of different scenarios that demanded different kind of monitoring.
@ Halim Liauw were u able to sort it out. Agent based RAC monitoring. I also have to perform the same but getting duplicate alerts.
Hi @Pratiman01 and halim.liauw
UIM does support Oracle RAC monitoring. Specify one Oracle instance as the "primary" in the probe config. If you follow the procedure here, do you still see duplicate alerts?
