Is the session store setup mandatory to use siteminder Federation SLO ?

I have SM setup without session store and configured couple of SAML 2.0 applications, need to use SLO, Need your suggestion.

Yes it is mandatory.

NOTE : Irrespective of which side (IdP or SP) CA SSO is being used; if SLO needs to be enabled on CA SSO - we need a Session Store.
