    JBOSSSVE.exe -p 1 "shutdown siteminder administrative UI Service" is not going done in task manager

     

    We have Adminui installed on various windows server. When we stop the adminui services the above .exe keeps running and never goes down and need to kill that .exe manaully to start the adminui services again.

    We have tried upgrading the adminui to R12.52sp1cr02 but still the same issue.

     

    We uninstalled the adminui and installed again but its not resolving the issue. Enclosed the screen shot of task manager

     

    Have anyone have faced this issue?

    Hi Richard,

    Sorry for the very late reply.  This question fell through the cracks and was found during a clean up.  Why are you not stopping the SiteMinder Admin UI by stopping the service "SiteMinder Administrative UI" through Services?  That should stop the jboss process correctly.

    Richard,

     

    If you want to script the shutdown of the AdminUI on Windows Server you can do one of the following:

     

    Option #1:

    net stop smadminui

     

    Option #2:

    sc stop smadminui

     

    NOTE: The 'sc' command will allow you to control the service on remote hosts as well.  These can be run either from cmd.exe or in a script.

    We are stopping the process using Services, but after that this particular process doesn't goes down on its own. We were thinking the problem is version, so we upgraded to R12.52SP1CR02, but seeing this problem now and then on some of the servers.

     

    Steve, we tried to create that script too but still this is happening.

    Thanks Richard for pointing this issue. It is happening with us as well in Linux box.

     

    if we stop admin UI with shutdown.sh script it doesn't go down, and everytime I have to kill the jboss process, Please let me know the solution if you were able to solve it ?

     

    we are using r12.52 SP01 CR05.
