An email was posted to the CA Executive Product page and was sent to Playbook Customers as follows:

    CA Executive Playbook

    August 31, 2015

    To:          CA Executive Playbook Customers

From:     The CA Technologies PPM Product Team

Subject: End of Life Announcement for CA Executive Playbook

CA Technologies is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In order to focus our development efforts and to help our customer base achieve their strategic business initiatives, we are investing our resources in new technology and software and will be dropping support on CA Executive Playbook.

At this time we have decided to stabilize CA Executive Playbook, effective immediately, as well as announce its End of Life. Functionally, stabilizing the product means there will be no new Versions or Releases or further enhancements to this product.

In accordance with the CA Support Policy and Terms (https://support.ca.com/irj/portal/anonymous/phpsupcontent?contentID=213326), please consider this email your written notification of the End of Life of CA Executive Playbook. This means CA Executive Playbook will no longer be enhanced and that maintenance and technical support will be discontinued beginning August 31, 2016. However, CA Technologies will honor any contractual agreements to sustain support on this product that may exist between you and CA Technologies as of this notice date.

As we focus on delivering increased value to you, our product efforts will continue with improving our market-leading capabilities in the core CA PPM offering. In the Fall 2015, we will release updates to our CA PPM product, which includes improvements to our mobile dashboard and reporting capabilities. Many of the mobile reporting functions from CA Executive Playbook will be offered as part this update; thus, providing you quicker time to value and more consistency in our reporting capabilities. Furthermore, the top-down strategic planning aspects of CA Executive Playbook are important to our CA PPM offering.  We will be considering some of those capabilities, as well as other mobility initiatives in our roadmap.

Your CA PPM Account Team members should be contacting you regarding this CA Executive Playbook End of Life announcement to discuss potential offerings and assist with your planning.

I repeat my suggestion that the CA Executive Playbook category should removed.

Hi Martti - Thanks for the suggestion. We are going to keep it for now as it contains quite a bit of historical data. We can revisit in the future if data migration between categories functionality improves. Regards, Chris
