The "my.cnf" file is not created after the installation of MySQL (NIS Server)

Question asked by Jorge.PR on Aug 31, 2015

Hello everyone,

After installing MySQL 5.5.8 (that will be the NIS server) achievement not locate the configuration file "my.cnf" on the locations where it should be (/etc/my.cnf /etc/mysql/my.cnf /usr/etc/my.cnf ~/.my.cnf). Linux forums indicates that it can be created manually, but this is recomndable?

I need to change some MySQL variables according to CA documentation:

local_infile: ON

lower_case_table_names: 1

binlog_format: mixed

og_bin: ON

The operating system that contains the database is RedHat 6.4.

The MySQL service is running OK.

Any ideas or recomendation about this?

Regards,
