We use UAPM to set the operating system of a CI / Asset, we would like to share this data in ServiceDesk. It is stored on the owned resource table, however it is not in the SDM schema to be selected.
Mark, You refer to UAPM. Are you working with UAPM 11.3.4?
In the later versions of APM (12.9 and 14.1), fields that exist in Service Desk, can be shared/acessed from within APM, by creating extended fields with the same label, database, and database field names that exist already. Fields that exist in the ca_owned_resource table that are not known by Service Desk cannot be shared. However, I believe a workaround for this would be to create an extended field ( a simple field) in APM and name is something like 'OS' and save it to the usp_owned_resource database table. Then copy the information from the operating system field into the new "OS' table. The new 'OS' information in the usp _owned_resource table should be viewable from Service Desk.
We are working with UAPM 11.3.4.
Your answer is very helpful, do you know if it applies to UAPM version 11.3.4?
