I am trying to service test a wsdl end point url but in REST step it is working fine but in web service description step it throws unknown host exception error. A suggestion would be helpful

Probably Is happening because of malformed WSDL where Endpoint is not the correct one, Please check if endpoint loaded from WSDL is correct one,
It would be better to understand the issue if you can share the screen shot of step configuration.

Attached u the error happening in the wsdl - web service execution step but it is not happening in rest step
