VMAX probe and fiber connection for SYMCLI?

    hi -

    scoping out the use of VMAX probe for a VMAX 40k install.  I understand the requirements for solution enabler and SYMCLI (running on the system with the probe).  Are there any special connection requirements for the SYMCLI app to talk to the VMAX?  like... probe system needs to be physical... or need fiber connection between probe box and VMAX?
