LISA MQ virtualization : which will be easy/smooth procedure to create virtual services 1) By RR Pairs OR 2) By Recording mode ?
*) If you want to virtualize huge number of transactions and if you have captured Request-Response pair details from application, then you can go for create VS using RR pair. or else, go with Recording mode.
*) If you do not have or if you are not sure about what request/responses are sending by back-end application to MQ,then recording is easiest way of virtualization mode.
So, Since both does similar functionality, choose mode of virtualization depending on requirement.
If we do it by RR pairs , den using copybooks is mandatory to split the request ? Or we can use directly RR pairs only and create .
2) Also RR pairs can be XML or fixed length right ?
3) if XML then which data protocol we need to select to get key value split up in vsi .
Rather than easy I say it is based on your requirement ..
if you have already got the RR pairs then you can use those instead of setting up the test data for recording purpose..
If do not have the message, then place recorder and record those transaction..
Technically both recording and RR pairs for MQ will have all most same setup but during recording you should make sure both your proxy and live queues are up & running.. (in case of RR pair you don't have to worry on live queues are running or not)
