    Hi,

     

    I am trying to use "Apply Rate Limit" assertion in our gateway (v8.2) to limit the concurrent threads for any given service and shape incoming request for that service when limit exceed.

    But gateway is throttling requests when I set "Maximum Concurrent Request" to some number. And gateway is shaping requests only when "Maximum Concurrent Requests" is selected as "Unlimited".

    How do I shape the incoming requests when concurrent requests limit exceeded?

    Narasimha,

     

    Would you be able to provide the setup you have used in the rate limiting assertion? The settings for items with cluster wide will cause the numbers to be split across all the nodes in the cluster which may affect how the system reacts. Also what is your testing scenario on the client side including keep-alive, TPS, etc?
