  • 1.  SSL Handshake - Sluggish behavior on Android lollipop

    On Android 5.x, initially, we encountered the following error

     

    javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: No peer certificate

     

    This issue got resolved by enabling all ciphers thru Policy manager but now the SSL handshake between Android client and SSG in taking very long. In terms of mobile apps, the response time is acceptable in Android 4.1.2 to Android 4.4.2 but the same app when installed on Android 5.x, takes a very long time in just the SSL handshake.

     

    The version of Secure span gateway is 8.2.

    Good afternoon,

    A few questions:

    Do you know if the app is trying to use SSL v3?
    Are you using the Mobile API Gateway?

    There are some issues around this with Android 4.x
