Someone got this error message when try to deploy robots on CA UIM ?
I would open a case with support with the versions of robot and details on how you were deploying. We can assist from there.
I´ve already did...nothing from there yet. Not sure if this is related to probe version. I´m deploying cdm probes. Works for ones and didn´t work for another ones. Wonder if someone on the CA UIM world have a tip or experience on this trouble.
I am relatively new to the CA UIM world and have been running into the same problem. I think it is related to the language of the Windows server you are trying to deploy the robot to. In my case the command "net share robot_share="C:\tmp" /GRANT:Administrators,Full" which creates a temporary share on the target server seems to be failing (which leads to a failure to copy the installation files to that share afterwards). It is failing because the Windows group "Administrators" does not exist on a german Windows OS, it is called "Administratoren" instead...
Unfortunately this does not seem to help me as I cannot find any possibility to configure this command somewhere.
Did you get any help from CA support so far?
Try to configure the hosts file with the IP of the devices you are trying to bring to the tool.
Let me know the results.
I got feedback from the CA support. Deployment via ADE was only designed for US/English locale. The problem in my case is actually that the group "Administrators" does not exist in a german OS and therefor the creation of the share fails...
As I have read somewhere else, the error message is actually a little bit misleading. It does not mean that the host could not be found, it means that the host can be found but the share cannot be addressed...
