What kind of SOAPUI calls? REST? WebService?

Not just only calls. Virtualization of different protocols, and other capabilities - utilities supported out of the box.

I need tool comparison matrix which lists out all the capabilities (up to date) from CA product team if they have it handy!

Hi,  I don't like product comparison, they always outdated, subject to change often, and don't aim on the correct subject, which is what is your need ?

For example:

1- If you want to do other protocols than HTTP/S, then SoapUI is already out because it support only HTTP/S (+ JMS, with effort and add-ons)

2- If you don't want to manually  enter your scenario and data in Request/Response, then SoapUI is again out, because only CA SV provides features like magic data/magic dates that allows to record, automatically apply dynamic rules to your data and so replay, even months after recording without data issues

3- Do you want to have your injection data in excel or launch your test case from a web GUI with reporting of results ? then again soapUI doesn't support this

On the other hand, if you just need a quick solution, nearly free of charge, to test or mock a few webservices, and if your company doesn't have any DevTest license, then go for SoapUI.

Please, confirm your needs so that we focus on what is necessary for you.

I was looking for a flyer or Matrix sheet with each item listed and compared from CA product team which can be used as a quick reference.

I would contact your CA Account Manager for this. 

Support does not have this type of information, but our Sales or pre-Sales people might.

Yes, using SOAP UI (regular version) for http protocol.

I suggest that you first find out what problems SOAP UI is currently not solving for them.

You may ask questions like:

"why are you looking to replace SOAP UI?"

"what SOAP UI is currently not doing for you?"

"what do you find frustrating about SOAP UI?"

Once you understand their unresolved problem, then you can talk about how DevTest addresses these problems. If we don't currently solve their problems, PLEASE report it back to the product team so that we can innovate.
