Is a fix planned or in progress for Client Automation 12.8?

No, the fix and certification has only been done against the 12.9 release.

There is forecast for release for version 12.8?

We have only created the patch and tested with the 12.9 release and currently do not have any plans to do the same for 12.9.

Are there more patches to come ?

I'm missing Windows 10 in the explorer GUI e.g. OS-choice for a new computer or classification in query. A windows 10 computer  has still "unclassified" for "Plattform".

Also, make sure you software Signature content download has run recently.

My content download had problems. Now the classification is ok.

The dropdown box for the OS when creating a new computer still has no Windows 10 entries. Well - you don't need them when using OSIM ;-)

Should these entries come with the Manager Patch (which only contains OSConfig.xml) or the content download as well ?

I checked my system and see that same problem in the option to create a new computer, it looks like it was missed from the patch.

It sounds like you have not installed the Manager / GUI patch.

We have fixed the bug and should be republishing the patch by end of this week.

Is the patch already released ? I can't see a new one in the download area.
Will this be a new OSIM patch or a certification patch - or both ?

I have seen in the template.ini file of the OSIM patch that the sdostype parameter has the same value for Windows81 and Windows10 (5385).

Does this go together with the other problem ?

Hi Claus,

The new fix should be published in the next few days and only contains one changed file (osconfig.xml) and should be applied on the DM and any systems running the Admin Console.

Or is it already taken care of and a fix is in preparation ?

Hi Claus,

Feel free to open an issue asking for the default to be changed, but for now you will need to remember to set the default in from the OS image once you have done the registration.

now you have confused me

Can you please check in your environment if you can see my problem as well:

-          create a new pc and configure it for an Win10 OSIM installation by choosing one of the win10 os images.

-          the properties of this predefined pc in the overview window is  “Windows 8.1” instead of “windows 10” for Operating System !?

I assume this is because of the sdostype value in the Windows10 section of the template.ini file which is 5385 (same as Windows8.1), but should be 5465 or 5464 ?

I can change the sdostype value in the osinfo.ini file of the created os-Image, but there is only a class “Windows 8.1 x86”, but no “Windows 10 x86” where sdostype should refer to ?

Is all this fixed with the new osconfig.xml – except the win10 sdostype values in template.ini file ?

I see the same problem so please open an issue, but my default.ini does not have an “sdostype” setting. Could this be something added with ManageNow?

Sorry, the sdostype is only in the osinfo.ini and like you is not set correctly.

These are the classID’s for Windows 10:

If you edit the osinfo.ini and enter the correct class ID then from the GUI take the option to update the OS image it works correctly.

Do I need the new patch for this ?

I have deleted the registration of the OS-Image, changed the value in osinfo.ini to 5485, registered it.

When creating a new pc and selecting the OS-Image the error "Please specify an Operating System.[CMG000024]" comes up.

I guess so as I have the fix new applied!
