Is there anyway to auto disable the inactive disks in cdm ,which is part of cluster .I am getting disk not available alerts from passive nodes .pls help.
the normal way of configuring cdm when in cluster env is to set it to not automatically monitor new disks
something like disk/fixed_default/active = 0. check the documents its in there.
So ,if there is a fail over we need to enable the disks manually on the active nodes every time ?
They will be enabled as a part of cluster monitoring. The fixed default option is something that will take care of any new addition of drives to the server. Meaning, any newly added servers will be auto enabled for monitoring. This will not auto enable the drives in question for monitoring though it is a part of cluster monitoring. Fixed default is a good option on a non-clustered set up.
