  • 1.  Timesheet List View - Filter Defaults Different for Users

On CA PPM 14.2, most users are see the timesheet list view filter for Dates as shown below, set to "All Open Time Periods":

    2015-10-15 10_10_37-CA PPM - 14.2 Sandbox System __ Timesheets - Internet Explorer.png

This is the preferred setting and this is how its operating for all of our users in 13.1.

However, some of our users in 14.2 are seeing "Current Time Period."  We have not yet been able to identify the factor that causes this difference between users.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks, NJ

Had started down the access rights path before.  Your comment pushed me to go farther.  Have confirmed the following:

    • One must have Timesheet Approval rights, given by any means (group, instance, global, OBS)
    • Once one has Timesheet Approval rights, one gets a slightly different filter section
    • Also, there has been a change in the Default Value for Dates filter field, between 13.1 and 14.2
      • Was "All Open Time Periods"
      • Is "Current Time Period"

The change only affects those with timesheet approval rights.  But, the early feedback is that Approvers don't like this change, as the timesheets that need approving are always from past weeks, not current week.

Where can we make the change ourselves?  This is not a Studio Object, yet - so expect we will have make the change in a file somewhere.

    Thanks,

    Hi Dale-

You are correct. The timesheet is not a Studio object so there is not a supported way to make this change via the UI.

Although, unsupported, try to look under $NIKU_HOME/META-INF/timeadmin
