Corrupted SmHost.conf File during Shared Secret Rollover

Has anyone seen this issue? We experience it randomly on Linux/Apache servers.

During shared secret rollover, the new secret is written to SmHost.conf, but in the process wipes out all other data/text from that file. Therefore the site goes down until one of us can run smreghost. I have opened a ticket with support, but we can't reproduce it on command.
