I had performance test for FILE class.

I collected the Average processing in FILE by secons -i command during huge opening file events.

You can see FILE processing time to reduce with disable FILE Class.

    Enable FILE Class

    Disable FILE Class

    Conclusion:

    1. Enable File Class option is showing the performance degradation about 100 times than Disable File Class

    2. If customer is using very heavy batch program, especially including file open() system call, then FILE Class OFF option could be the best option to reduce the workload of PIM.
