Hi, we have a 1 LISA(or devtest) license for 10 concurrent users which have been working fine. Now, we have acquired one more license (.xml) to increase the concurrent users as 20.How to install this additional license?
rename your existing license devtestlic.xml in the DevTest home folder (say c:\program files\CA\DevTest) to devtestlic.xml.old. Then copy the new devtestlic.xml file to the same location as the old one. Restart the Registry server. The new license file will be picked up.
Reply back if any issues....
Hi, I see the folder C:\Program Files\CA\Lisa\Lisalic.xml . Can I replace this one with devtestlic.xml that I received ? Just thinking since the names are different! Pls confirm.
Just curious on the following -
where did the lisalic.xml file come from?.
what version of DevTest do you have in that folder?
How is the folder name still Lisa?
Its LISA 7.5.2 . Hope that answered the other questions you posted.
Thanks. If you are on 7.5.x..i that case please try to put the file in the location as the old file and restart Registry. If you have issues, please contact the CA SUpport number and they can assist you with it.
I was using devtest licenses with CA LISA(Previous version) !. Because of which it didn't worked. Installed devtest 8.5 and license are working.
We had experienced a similar issue. Adding to the existing discussion, You can collect the License information from CA or the LAF Dashboard as they happen to call it, and update it on the local properties in LISA_HOME. Restarting LISA would immediately pick up the new license.
If you need more guidance you can raise a CA ticket and they would be able to close it it one call. Hope this helps !!
