    Hello Team,

As we beef up our performance testing for Spectrum Web Client, one of the things we were looking for the average number of users per OneClick Server that people have.

Overall the number could be higher, but we wanted to know how much PER OC do you guys typically have?

Please shout out with a ball park number from your side. We begin performance tests next week - so your responses will be much appreciated and as always, will enable shape the product well and have us document the right expectations.

Thanks in advance and have a great week!

    Regards,

We have about 30 active users connected one OC and login count would be below 50 most of the times.

    Hi Kiran,

For two customers the overall users for one OneClick are:

127 (between 10 and 30 logged in at a time)

~500 (between 35 and 50 logged in at a time)

If I can get some more numbers I will update my post.

    Best Regards

    Kristian

    Hi Jana,

Is it 60 connected to the same OC or more than one OC?

    Hello Team,

Just to close on this topic, Jana - if you could respond to the question, it would be great

So the reason for this reach out is that after more than 45-50 users simultaneously connecting to the same instance of the webclient (OC), we are seeing degraded performance. So for the first iteration, we are going to recommend not more than 40-45 users per instance of webclient (OC).

The engineers are figuring out a way to track users and pop up a message when the users are getting close to the threshold..

We already have changes in mind to improve this and make this work efficiently even for twice as many users - we will implement that in teh next iteration - coming up very soon

    Questions/suggestions/critique welcome as always.

    Hello Kiran,

we typically see between 2 (very small customer environments) and 50 users (the bigger ones) per OC server.

When discussing the lightweight web client, being asked out of the blue, I would expect less load on the OneClick servers compared to full OneClick clients resulting in even more possible concurrent user sessions. This is especially important since a browser based client will significantly lower the burden for users to actually request access to it, resulting in more sessions.

    regards,
    Raphael

    Hello Raphael,

This is a great point! We are aware and definitely want to make sure we scale appropriately.
Do note this is the first iteration - be assured that we will ensure our scale meets customers' demands
