Has anyone integrated APM with Nastel AutoPilot M6? Could you share some benefits or screen shots? Were there any gotchas?
CA demonstrated our current work with Nastel at CA World. The benefits we demonstrated were capturing additional metrics from Nastel's depth in middleware, combining Introscope and Autopilot transaction traces into a single cross-process view of a transaction, and visualizing the middleware components in Team Center.
Since the demonstration was of work in progress, more information will probably be available when the integration work is completed.
we have worked together with Nastel on an integration that we showcased at CAWorld. PoetryFan, Jake_Nelson can you give us more information?
We have the APM MQ PowerPacks installed but they don't appear to be too stable. 2 of our team members went to CA World and saw this integration between Nastel and APM.
At CA World the demo included a separate piece from Nastel Autopilot which looked similar to CA CEM (which we don't have).
I was curious on what the benefits were of bringing in Nastel AutoPilot M6 and their extra piece for end monitoring vs using CA APM MQ PowerPacks and CEM.
My assumption would lean towards the decision is being made based on cost but if you could show a comparison chart of one vs the other it might help.
Thanks in advance
Probably too late but have a look at this page for understanding the deep dive info that Nastel Autopilot M6 provides http://www.nastel.com/tech/middleware/websphere-datapower-monitoring.html. You would be able to hook this info into CA APM using the connector.
