Plex 2E

  • 1.  WEBOPT (Y2WEB) uninstall from CA/2e system.

WEBOPT (Y2WEB) has been installed and running in our CA/2e environment for years -- yet we never use it.  Nor will we ever use it.  I would like to remove all of the resources that it uses including the server jobs that are always running.  Will this break our CA/2e functionality?  Or, can it be done and how?  Thanks.

    Hello There,

I think this covers all items:

    1. Check for active jobs for user QTMHHTTP…

    WRKUSRJOB USER(QTMHHTTP) STATUS(*ACTIVE)

End any associated with Web Option

    2. Check for active jobs for user WEB2E…

    WRKUSRJOB USER(WEB2E) STATUS(*ACTIVE)

    End them

    3. Work with Job Schedule Entries…

    WRKJOBSCDE

    Remove any for Web Option

    4. Check for HTTP server instances for Web Option

    WRKMBRPDM FILE(QUSRSYS/QATMHINSTC)

Use option 5 to get the name of the associated Web Option Server

Use option 4 to delete the member

    5. Work with the Web Option Server details Directory

wrklnk "www/w-o-server"  - the name from step 4

Option 5 to sub-directories conf, htdocs and logs

    Option 5 on sub-directory conf

    Option 5 on STMF httpd.conf

Note the listening port, web option directory and web option environment library

    Option 4 to delete httpd.conf

    Delete sub-directory conf

Option 5 on sub-directories htdocs and logs

    Delete any STMF documents

    Delete sub-directories htdocs and logs

Delete the Web Option Server directory

    6. Work with Service Table Entry

    WRKSRVTBLE

Option 4 to remove the entry corresponding to the listening port from step 5

    7. Work with the Web Option directory

wrklnk "w-o-directory"  - the default is webopt, use the value from step 5

Option 5 delete any STMF documents

    Delete the Web Option directory

    8. Delete the Web Option Environment library from step 5

    9. Delete the Web Option libraries Y2WEB and Y2WEBVENG

    10. Update library lists referring to Y2WEB, Y2WEBVENG and the Web Option Environment

    11. Update any models associated with the Web Option Environment library

YEDTDTAARA DTAARA(model-lib/YW2ELIBRFA) change value to *NONE

If you can give me your name, contact details and company, it will be good to have this recorded as a case on our Support system.
