Hi, In CA UIM. how to monitor all services by using ntservices probe without activing the each service profile.
My bad, it is from a CA Internal Only forum.
Here is the resolution from the other thread.
Firstly there is a known problem with the <default> sub-section of the <setup> section in the 3.23 GA release of the ntservices probe, so the recommendation is to downgrade to 3.22 or wait till the next version is released
Luckily 3.24 was released just yesterday so gave it a try and it worked absolutely fine . Below are the parameters I have updated in the .cfx file in the archive before deploying it to the robot and once the probe is deployed it should start monitoring all the services which are set to automatic and running
delete_profile_section = yes
active = automatic or running
action = report
severity = major
subsystem = 184.108.40.206
alarm_on_action = yes
qos = no
you could set the monitor new services in properties and use the default values for added new services to control the behaviour you are after. then use a cfx file to clear out the services. on the probe restart it should pickup all the servicesagain and add the default settings configured.
i would test this because we havent had any reason to do this so far
Within the probe properties, select "Automatically add new services" and under the section "Default values for added new services" choose your configuration selections for the following to build the monitor service profiles
QOS on State -
Apply the above configs, clear out all services in the current configuration, and restart the probe.
