  • 1.  Integration with CA PPM Datawarehouse

One of the advantages of the new CA PPM data warehouse is the capability to integrate with external reporting tools such as tableau etc.Has anyone successfully tried this? If yes, how is security being handled in terms of what data can be seen. Any suggestions on how we can mimic the ca ppm security restrictions. Using Views?

    Thanks,

Security is handled when its integrated with CA PPM, it checks for the user rights and then shows you the data. With other tools it can fetch data but it will not govern the CA PPM rights as in build integration is not there out of box

Has any on demand sites integrated the data warehouse in v14 with Tableau and if so can they provide an outline of the level of complexity and the timelines to implement same.

Thanks for the response Suman.  I do understand that security is integrated to CA PPM and not available OOTB when tools like tableau are integrating directly to DWH. I wanted to find out if anyone has done this and if so how did they devise security around it (views?). We may not want all data to be displayed to a particular organization that might be using tableau?
