I really like the new reports (metrics) available with 9.0. But is there anyway I can generate an Excel spreadsheet from the nice looking reports?
Ask and ye shall receive!
Look for this new feature in our upcoming 9.5 release!
From the Enterprise Dashboard overview, choose the Registry you want to view from the Display Name link.
Once on the Registry Details page, there is a Options icon on the right, choose the dropdown:
This will export in an Excel format.
Hope this answers your question.
He seems to be referring to the New Reports in the DevTest Portal for CAI, Test and VS.
For now, the only format is PDF. You could put an enhancement request in the Ideas section of this community.
Ok I will put this in as an enhancement request. We are looking for a way to charge-back our users internally. Generating the Excel worksheet will make it easier to automate the process. Thank you for your reply.
Thanks Koustubh, was not sure from what Metrics, just assumed Registry Details.
Thanks for your suggestion but I am referring to the new reports in 9.0. I do not think the registry Excel export will give me what I am looking for (# of transactions by virtual service)
Do you specifically need an Excel file (xls) or will a csv file work for you as well?
Either cvs or xls will be fine
Thanks for the suggestion!
Currently, we have a transaction daily counts report that shows transaction counts per virtual services per day. We also have total transaction count of lifetime for virtual services. All reports support export to PDF.
We have added CSV as another export format to our product backlog for release in a future version.
For future reference, we welcome enhancement requests in the DevTest Community known as Ideas (rather than Discussions). You can view the current list by clicking on Content --> Ideas tabs and vote on the ones you feel deliver the most value to you as a user. You can submit a new one by clicking Actions --> Idea in the top right. Please let us know if you have any other suggestions!
Great, thank you! It has been difficult trying to get monthly transaction counts for each virtual service. We then chargeback the various projects for the number of hits/virtual service. With this excel spreadsheet I should be able to generate the report with one key click.
