Please suggest how we can up gradate to 12.9 from 12.6 CA Service Desk.Also please share following details.

my first question: why do you want to upgrade to version 12.9 and not directly to Version 14.1?Which is the curret environment OS, database, secondary server(s), separate database server?
We have no contain to go for 14.1.
Current OS:MS Server 2003 R2 Ent 64bit
Database: SQL Server 2005

You could do a swing box migration as mentioned by Sefoundine, or you could do a in-place upgrade. Please
see chapter 2 in Impl Guide:
Implementation Guide Release 12.9.00
The certification matrix says that you will need MS Server 2008 R2 (x86;64-bit only) as a minimum and MS SQL Server 2008 as a minimum.
