I could not get mail from service desk.
It shows in mail_queue folder.
Has this worked before?
Are the any errors noted in the stdlog relating to pdm_mail_nxd?
Are the mail settings correct? If yes, try killing the pdm_mail process in Task Manager and run pdm_d_refresh. It should restart the process...
I got some error in log file also.It will upload that log file.
Previously it works fine mail settings are also fine.
i. Do a telnet session to this server on port 25 and check if you an reach it? 'telnet <servername> 25'
ii. Please also re-enter all the mail settings and recycle the services.
This happens when there are too many mails sent in a single SMTP connection/transaction. Are you using CA SDM 14.1 ?
I know that the mail notification code in 14.1 changed in this version to deliver more than 1 mail in a single connection, hitting the limits imposed on the SMTP servers for mails delivered in a single connection. Normally this is a good thing, because there are less SMTP connections from SDM to the email server, but that triggers some SMTP configured limits.
Talk to your mail admins and ask them what is the limit - maybe ask them to raise that limit for the SDM mail user.
Is there a recommended limit to set it to?
Or you may increase the option
value from the default 3 to a bigger number. Another option
that may help is
the default is 600(10 minutes)...you may want to make it a smaller number.
You can check the relay permisions on mail server for SDM servers
