Could you explain better your problem? Aré you talking about developing seats? Applications? Dispatchers?

These are users using the Plex Apllication,

We have a Freight application that only one user at a time can logon to,

This was just after we converted our Iseries to V7R1,

Do you mean previously your application worked? What Plex version do you have? What variant? 5250 or client/server?

The application worked for multiple users on V6R1,

    We have Plex 4.5, and it's worked on V4R5, V5R4, and V6R1,

    Ibm client access Version 6,

Iseries release V7R1 now, previous V6R1,

Is there a Dispatcher reset or do we need to build a new one,

Let me make some research...late night for me now...I 'm almost sure it works, but some adjustments are required...
Given your Plex version, surely you use the old dispatcher (yobsytcp). Please, give me until tomorrow...in the meantime, maybe other colleagues could help..

sorry simply don't understand your question.

Freight application written in Plex and is the classic client WinC Server as400 architecture?

You restrict only one user to use the application at only one time?

When it worked how was it done? By action diagram code, by source code, by as400 setting, by a plex dispatcher setting etc etc more detail

it is not clear to me if this is the desired behaviour or not desired behaviour

The behaviour of only one user able to login at anyone time?

As I see, it is the undesirable behavior...starting when upgrading system i to 7.1

While it would be possible to run old Plex applications in newer System i/Windows versions, it is possible issues could exists. Indeed, my first question is about your Plex version, and the possibility of upgrading, but I'm assuming it is not possible for you,

I used to run sometimes two Plex versions with different dispatchers and library lists, in a case, really old. Theoretically it is possible, but you need to be aware on issues: it could require patches on the server side. You should attend messages from the communications process. There are some troubleshooting suggestions on Plex guide for System i Version.

Having changed your Sistem i installation, you should review system i Plex requirements for runtime objects, library list, user profiles, communications setup. It is possible some of them have been changed. It is difficult to be more detailed in this case.

    Hi George,

I suppose you agree with me that compatibility matrix mainly exposes what is the CA commitment in order to support Plex. Users can explore beyond these limits, assuming risks on their own. The fact in this case is that it worked...until OS 7.2
