I need to create a MQ virtual service reading the header of the request?Could you please help me ,how to do this in CA dev test workstation?
Please provide me the snap shot also.
Can you be more specific on exactly which headers, and what your service needs to do with them?
Development team is adding additional header parameter.
so I am talking about IBM MQ message so that this header parameter we can read in the VSM.
Sorry, can you please be more specific?
There are several kinds of MQ headers. A regular MQ message contains an MQMD header which is not customizable. Another common scenario is to embed an MQRFH2 header, which can contain custom properties. And there are about half a dozen other common embedded headers out there with MQ.
DevTest 9.x supports extracting MQMD and MQRFH2 headers to VSE meta-data when recording, and then reconstructing the exact same headers using those meta-data properties at playback time. Other MQ headers could be supported through an extension, but we would probably have to provide the extension.
If you want to do more than just reconstructing the exact same header values at playback time, say, if you want to do some magic string substitution from values in the request or some other kind of processing, then that's a more general VSE question about how to work with meta-data properties. I may not be able to help quite as much with that.
This is why I need more details on exactly which headers and exactly what you want to do with them before I can answer your question.
