I am trying to run selenium builder scripts in a Test Suite but unable to see browser. how to enable display of browser while running test suite.
If you want to run on Chrome set the following to:
selenium.browser.type is set to Chrome
selenium.chrome.driver.path is set to the fully qualified path of where my chromedriver.exe is (example C:\Selenium\chromedriver.exe)
If you want to run on Firefox remove both Selenium browser type and Selenium path keys, the default is Firefox when those not specified.
Once thing to remember, if you are staging to a remote Simulator, unless you start the Simulator with a Local System account and check the "Allow service to interact with desktop", you will not see the browser come up when starting as a Service. If you start as a server you will.
What version of DevTest are you on and what Browser do you want to run your Suite on?
I will find out what the rules are for running Selenium tests within a Suite.
devtest : 8.4.0.
IE version : 11
Just to see if you have any update on this, Thanks
I am trying to run some tests now, I hope to have some kind up update on Friday.
I am able to run a Suite with Selenium tests and see the browser for IE 11 using DevTest 8.4.0.
The example I used was I did a recording of lisabank that comes with the DemoServer. I made 3 copies of my tests and ran all tests in my Suite.
Run Mode was Serial on my Suite document.
Active config is set as follows:
selenium.browser.type is set to IE
selenium.ie.driver.path is set to the fully qualified path of where my IEDriverServer.exe is (example C:\Selenium\IEDriverServer.exe)
Please verify on the Internet Explorer browser in Internet Options, Security, that all Security zones have the same Enable Protected Mode checkbox set on all on or all off.
Let me know if this helps.
All security zones enabled still unable to see browser. kindly suggest if more changes need to be done
Can you share your Project?
sorry, I just looked at zones in internet options, it seems Intranet and Trusted sites were not enabled due to security policy.
Just to see is there any way to run tests on firefox or chrome without dealing with these options?
Now its working after modifying service to allow with desktop.
