  • 1.  SD job exit codes 9020 and 1097

Deploying Office 365 using install.bat to call setup.exe mostly successful. Had a few machines that had exit code 9020 and a few that had 1097. I was not able to find any such exit codes for Microsoft products, or batch scripting exit codes. Anyone encounter these exit codes and trace the meaning?

I would check the log file from the office install so see if it shows a proper error message.

    HI

Were you able to locate the msi log from the failed installation to determine what the error was ?

    please advise

    Thanks

No, I opened ticket #00301737. The setup log shows user attempting to cancel setup (which was not the case).

    Hi Walter

I saw in the support ticket the issue is now resolved and that you found out that The error is due to either registry corruption or invalid path but is not an exit code from the msiexec which is why it does not correlate to normal Microsoft Office or MSI exit codes.

    Thanks
