Can CA Test Data Manager connect to HP Nonstop SQL database to perform Subset, Masking and Data profiling activities? If yes, let us know how to connect.
Hi, at the present time, Test Data Manager (GT Datamaker) is the only component to support HP Nonstop. Development is considering adding support to other components though.
Please create an Idea post for this community page for the components you would like supported (as above) and be sure to vote it up. Other users will also be able to 'Vote' for the idea and we are able to gauge the impact a new feature request will have. The product team is always reviewing the Ideas posted on this page and will often add the suggestions into their development plans.
Good to know that Test data Manager supports HP Nonstop. However, can you please let me know which driver should I use and how to connect to achieve this?
I have reached out to development to get that driver and some instructions for you. Our development team is located in the UK, so we should hear back tomorrow morning.
Do we have an update on the instructions from the development team on this, please? A quick help would be highly appreciated.
Hi, I am sorry about our delay in response. I am still waiting to hear back from development about this. The person who created the driver is out of the office this week, so I am trying to reach out to others right now.
Thank you. Do you have any update on this yet?
Hi, we finally heard back from development on this. Support for the HP Nonstop driver is included in the most recent GA release of TDM, which is 3.2.1. To obtain the ODBC driver for this, you will need to reach out to HP. After you receive and install the driver from HP, you will need to configure an ODBC DSN connection for it. Then, create a profile and connect to it.
Do Taylor's comments and answers answer this question? It boils down to that you have to get the driver from HP, but we do have code in TDM to support it.
Can you mark this as answered?
