    Hello,

In our environment we have six SS,all are showing in initial state. Checked the Model activation, which is showing 100 percent on all VNMs.

If someone have any idea please suggest.

    Thanks,

What version of Spectrum are you running?

Check the SpectroSERVER Control -> Thread Information subview in the Information tab of the VNM model for Model Activation Threads in use. Could be you have a hung activation thread.

try to use mdlact_debug=TRUE option in vnmrc file and then restart the spectroserver to see which model is causing/taking long time for activation.

i have seen in my environment though activation shows 100% vnm is in initial state.

    Hello,

When Spectrum put a devices on Initial state, many of the times its because the devices its not reachable and not anwering (ping or snmp) after the creation just for 1 time, so Spectrum doesnt know if the devices still there.

Check that you can send a ping to the device and poll them manually. If they can response ping an SNMP, you can use the attibutes folder ( on Component Detail panel)  and select Model_State attributte and change it from Initial to Active(6). If this fix the problem you can change the same attribute to all the devices in your VNM.

    Regards
