  • 1.  IE11 issue with 14.3

    Hi All,

When Clarity is opened using IE11 browser, it takes long time to display the login page. This does not happens with other browsers like chrome or Firefox. For them login page takes 2-3 seconds to display but for IE11, white page remains on the screen for some good 5-6 seconds and then login page comes.

    Thanks,

    Pragya Singh

There shouldn't be any difference unless you have changed the document mode. you could try to do a browser level tracing to see where its taking longer.

You could also delete all temporary files.

Have you tried this with a non production single server with a default theme?

Also what URL are you using?  Try just niku/nu. I've seen ie11 get stuck redirecting back to niku/nu#action:homeActionId.

I'd do what Suman suggests and try logging in the browser, press F12, go to network and click the play button.

    Hi Andrew, Suman and Urmas,

We have tried using niku/nu url instead niku/nu#action:homeActionId but does not see much difference in timings.

Have also tried all type of IE 11 settings recommended on internet like :

    1. Reset Advanced settings to default

    2. Uncheck data rendering in advanced settings

    3. Enable enterprise mode for the browser and add the site with compatibility document mode

    4. disabled Add-ons

    5. Added site to compatibility view settings

    6. lowered the internet security settings

with all above steps we were able to manage to bring down the below highlighted network timings to 1-2 seconds range but still their combined time takes 4-5 seconds to display login page :

While I have seen in 13.3 and below versions, these timings are in milli-seconds, even for other browsers for 14.3.

    Thanks,

    Pragya

    Hi Pragya,

You don't need to explicitly set to document mode in 14.3, we are doing it behind the scene. However if you compare any page rendering in IE with Chrome, Chrome is bit faster.
