i am using CA Service desk manager and am configuring support automation and i think there is a missing step on my configuring. Please assist
Hi Fundiswa Ntsheyiya,
For something like this, it would be best for you to open a support case so an engineer can work with you directly. Its hard to understand what might be missing, or attempt to assist to fix it without understanding what steps were followed exactly, or looking at your system via a webex. Please open a support case, and one of our engineers will contact you to work on it with you.
Can you provide a screenshot of the message? Can you also confirm if the Analyst interface launches correctly or not? Lastly can you confirm if there is any customization in place to the user interface? You may want to removing the site\mods\www directory and running pdm_webcache command on the server and testing again.
I do agree with Jon though, a ticket may help to provide a resolution quicker.
I would tend to believe that something is not configured correctly, perhaps a mismatch in the server.properties file. I'd want to see the contents of:
As well as the values from the NX.env for

This file configures the mode of operation for the server
# and any properties that need to be defined outside of the DB
# for some of the modes
# You can use the property 'BindToIp' to let the server to bind to a single IP.
# Eg: BindToIp: 220.127.116.11
# You can use the property 'UseNIOSocket' to tell the server to use NIO or not.
# If this property is absent, a default value "true" will be used.
# To support IPv6 on windows platform, UseNIOSocket must be turned off
# Eg: UseNIOSocket: false
# You can use the property 'TcpNoDelay' to tell the server to enable/disable TCP_NODELAY (disable/enable Nagle's algorithm)..
# Eg: TcpNoDelay: false
# ServerMode: standalone
# Required parameters: InternalTcpPort (only required if there are other servers (in proxy mode) connecting to this server
# ServerMode: proxy
# Required parameters: PrimaryServerHostname, HttpPort, InternalTcpPort, ExternalTcpPort
# HttpPort is the HTTP port of the primary server
# InternalTcpPort should match the InternalTcpPort setting of the primary server
# ExternalTcpPort is the port the proxy listens on for client socket connections
# ServerMode: datapool-only
# Required parameters: ExternalTcpPort
# ExternalTcpPort is the port the MRS listens on for client socket connections
# Required settings which apply to all server modes:
# UrlHost is fully qualified host name or IP address of host for HTTP connections; Eg: UrlHost: support.ca.com
# UrlPort is a port number for HTTP connections; Eg: UrlPort: 8070
# UrlProtocol is a protol to be used for HTTP connections. Can be either http or https; Eg: UrlProtocol: http
# SocketServerHost is fully qualified host name or IP address of host for socket connections; Eg: SocketServerHost: support.ca.com
# SocketServerPort is a port number for socket connections; Eg: SocketServerPort: support.ca.com
# HttpPort: HttpPort_Replace
# ExternalTcpPort: ExternalTcpPort_Replace
# PrimaryServerHostname: PrimaryServerHostname_Replace
# AppName: AppName_Replace
Everything looks as I would expect. If you haven't opened a Support case, you may want to do so for more indepth review.
