HI All, We are trying to trigger some transactions in EBCDIC format on MQ layer. Not sure where to change the CCSID, Please suggest.
If you are using the new IBM MQ Native Send Receive step:
Enable the 'PRO' button in the upper right corner, find 'Header Properties' on the left, click 'Open Editor...':
Click '+', select 'Advanced' -> 'Character Set':
You can enter your CCSID here:
If you are using the old 'IBM Websphere MQ' step:
Click 'Message Properties' in the lower right:
Find the 'characterSet' line. Change its value from 'default' to your CCSID:
I don't think I understand the question. Can you explain in more detail exactly what you're trying to do and where it's going wrong?
We have established an MQ connection successfully while we are trying to trigger a transaction in EBCDIC format to a mainframes system. They are receiving the message with some junk characters. According to them, the ccsid of the message they are receiving is 819, while they are expecting it to be 937. We are not sure where to make the change for ccsid. Please suggest!
I am using LISA 7.5.1 and I am not able to locate this step. Can you please suggest a different step compatible with 7.5.1 version.
The second step I mentioned, 'IBM Websphere MQ', is in 7.5.1.
Did Kevin help to answer your question? If so, can you please mark his answer as correct?
