  • 1.  Threshold Violation - Event message does not show values

    Posted Apr 22, 2016 10:11 AM

We have integrated CA Performance Manager 2.7 with Spectrum 10.1.1 and created Threshold profiles in Performance Manager. Spectrum is picking up the event and does raise an alarm.

The issue that we are picking up is that the Threshold values are not being shown. I have looked at the CsEvFormat file but cant see where this can be changed.

As can be seen from the message below item "4)" gives the Alert message which shows the Threshold profile name and rule (highlighted in red) but does not provide the Threshold values

Below is the Alarm that we see in Spectrum:

CA Performance Manager is reporting a major threshold violation on ifc48 (Slot: 1 Port: 48)

    ZAJNG-LF2-ACCSN03_ifc48 (Slot: 1 Port: 48)

    Detail of Threshold Violation:

    1) Incident Start Time: Apr 22, 2016 3:25:00 PM SAST

    2) Event ID: 8405_8404

    3) Event Source: Data Aggregator

    4) Alert Message: A Threshold Violation event has been raised on  ifc48 (Slot: 1 Port: 48) . (Profile Name: % Interface Discards In, Rule Name: % Interface Discards In).

A corresponding major Threshold Violation Alarm will be generated.
