My password is having special characters like <,>,?...etc. I am unable to access the service with password having these characters. Please help me to create the configuration to allow this type of passwords.
It seems I misspoke regarding the password being invalidated. If the policy is hardened previous passwords will be unaffected so this would allow users to have a non-compliant password.
If you are still experiencing issues accessing a particular service using the password 'Demo$<14@' I would recommend a case be opened with support so we can investigate further.
Can you please provide more details on how you are trying to access the service? Also can you tell whats the user store in which your user credentials are stored?
I am using IIP(Internal Identity Provider) to create user like below.
I have onboarded one of my backend service in Layer7 Policy Manager and also configured custome error message "authetication required" so if any non-existing user tries that person will get authentication required message. I tried to access L7 URL(https://mydemo.com/demopage) in SOAPUi. It asked authentication, after giving the username and password its denied.
Hope you understand better now.
There are no character limitations that I am aware of. The gateway password policy actually allows for use of symbol and non-numeric values (Tasks -> Manage Account Policies -> Manage Password Policy).
Can you confirm the version of Gateway you are running and form factor (software vs appliance)?
I would check to see if the user can login to the policy manager using the same ID/PW and that the password conforms to your policy. Issues like this can arise if a new, hardened policy was introduced after the original password was set effectively invalidating it.
I know Policy and If i enable the special character option , i should need to create for every account with at least 1 special character.
Is there any possibility to use special character and non-special characters with different accounts even after enabling special character?
Can i expect some suggestions from you?
Just wanted to know if this issue is resolved or not. If not can you let me know what kind of authentication you are using? If possible share the service?
