Our customer base would like to be able to simply change task dates "LIFT" (keep the same duration) and have the ETC remain the same "SHIFT". Right now, ETC's get recalculated by PPM when the task dates change. Behavior is the same for resources or roles assigned to tasks.
Task1 Start: Monday 5/2 - Finish: Thursday 5/5 (4 Business Days)
ETC manually Entered: Monday-10, Tuesday-6, Wednesday-4, Thursday-2
Change Task dates to: Start Thursday 5/5 - Finish Tuesday 5/10 (4 Business Days)
ETC gets recalculated to: Thursday-6, Friday-6, Monday-6, Tuesday-6 (Using round numbers)
Now, our PM's need to go in and change the ETC manually again to 10, 6, 4, 2 for each day. If they did not take a SS or notes on the what the ETC was, they may have lost their exact numbers.
Just curious if anyone has worked around this behavior or has any feedback on it.
