I did tests using 3 different smtp servers, and i could prove SMTP because i enable the Windows smtp server and to do this test it's so simple like create file
Copy the Email.txt file into the following folder: C:\InetPub\MailRoot\Pickup.
FROM: <source email address>
TO: <destination email address>
SUBJECT: Test email
This is a test email sent from my SMTP server
