Change Order Categories not setting default 'Type'

After upgrading from Service Desk Manager 12.7 to 14.1 Cumulative 2 selecting a Change Order category no longer sets the Change Order 'Type' field, though there is a valid mapping for each of them.  Wondering if anyone else has experienced this behavior and optimally has a solution?
