I need to add a property based on Request Area to Service Desk Requests. Can I add a date picker as the property?
In addition to that question, can you add a date field to the employee/analyst request forms via WSP?
I dont believe there is a property validation rule available as a date-picker. That would be something that could be raised as an "idea" here on the communities. This could probably be accomplished with some custom code of some sort, but its not something within the scope of support so I would not be able to assist on it. As for the addition of a date field to the employee/analyst request forms, YES you should be able to do that but you would need to first add a table to the cr (call request) object to store that value. You can look at the existing date fields in WSP Schema Designer to see how they are set up and create one that is the same. Then you would edit the form, and you can even copy an existing date field and then change the attribute (field that it points to in the db) in the properties, along with giving it a proper label. Not OOB but I recall a customization like that for 11.2 before the time that CA added the properties rules so mostly possible with some work.
Will try to find out If I can get my hand to that hold one as a strating point but can't promess any as several years as pass since we moved out from 11.2..
