    Hello Community,

A question over here... Do you know if there's a way that you receive an email notification with an attachment?

Like that you open a case and the notification email that you receive has a document attached.

    Regards.

    Hi Jason,

Starting from Service Desk release 14.1.01, manual notifications can be sent from a ticket with an attachment. See this link for details. However, regular notifications triggered by an activity such as opening a ticket cannot contain attachments.

    Regards,

    Gordon.

Unfortunately, this link no longer appears to be valid. I am trying to find info on adding attachment to manual notify since that we appear to have recently lost that functionality.

    Hi Kris,

Try this link. It should take you to the appropriate documentation page for manual notifications.

    Regards,

    Gordon

    Hello JasonLLM,
if the problem is still relevant (?):
of course you can send attachments. SDM has an official Interface.
Look for "notification method and write to file" in the documentation.
You need a SMTP program with command line interface that can send the attachments (such as BLAT).
But there are also others, depending on the operating system.
Perl skills are important. It is relatively easy to implement, requires only some time.
You can customize each outgoing mail, also do not send.
You will receive the email in your Perl program, attach your file via SMTP program and send the mail to the recipient of the notification.
I've also used the method to translate the ticket headlines in the language of the end user.
    Regards
