    CA Siteminder SSO.

Do we need to restart the Servers (LDAP, Policy Server and Webagents) in a periodic manner (Weekly  or Monthly?).

    Hi Rahul.

Siteminder does not have any such requirement.

Check out the recommended periodic maintenance tasks documented here:

    CA SiteMinder® Integrated Documents 12.52 SP1

Might not be a written 'requirement' but FWIW, I can tell that we had regular crashing (5+ times per day) of the Policy Server for ~3 years. And now that is "fixed", we still have to do weekly restarts due to memory/handle leaks to avoid crashing. Same situation with SPS when it was in use...both 12.52 SP1.

Web Agents have been pretty rock solid though.

    Hi,

Have you created a support ticket for this "memory/handle leaks" issue with 12.52 SP1 ?

If there is any such behavior then it's a bug and needs to be addressed.

My statement was in general as there is no such requirement to have periodic restart of PS or any of the component that it integrates to.

Yup, it's being worked. Was just a personal experience cautionary heads up on stability issues we've seen with the PS and SPS.

Thank you. Even I observed the same in our environment. Want to test the same going forward. We dont see any memory leak. But some processes are getting hung sometimes it seems. We had to restart Policy server . Last week we found high CPU utilization in CA Directory server. Ticket is opened with CA.
