Leading zeroes in JSON Request and Response argument

Question asked by KishoreThadani on Jun 17, 2016

Hi all,

I am on CA DevTest version 8.5.

I have just come across a situation where I have a VSM created with JSON data protocol in the Request and Response parameters.

I am trying to reuse one of the arguments from the Request (accountNumber) with the same value as in Response ({{=request_accountNumber;/*1236547*/}}).

However, if the argument in Request has leading zero(es) in a string of digits (such as in the Account Number example), it chops off the leading zero(es) from the value in the Response.  This is not what is desired.  The number of leading zeroes should stay the same in Response for that argument.

Am I the only one who has noticed this or is it something that I am doing wrong?

If this is the actual universal behavior, how can I keep the leading zero(es) in the response?

Thanks

Kishore Thadani
