  • 1.  CA PAM VM requirements

I've seen several questions, from customers and CA personnel, regarding the configuration requirements for CA PAM VMs.  Here's what is documented in the CA PAM 2.6 Release Notes:

    - CPU: 1 virtual processor with 1 virtual core.

    - Memory: Strongly recommended: 16 GB.

    - Storage : 8 GB disk.

    - NICs: 1 interface. Add any additional required interfaces before initial boot.

You may see some instances where less memory is used, as it is only recently that the 16 GB recommendation was determined.  Originally, VMs were typically built with 3 GB.

The comment regarding the addition of additional network interfaces is extremely important.  Failure to heed this warning most likely result in the CA PAM instance becoming inaccessible.
