Clarity

  • 1.  Java Error while installing clarity 14.2

    Hi All,

    I am trying to install 14.2 on linux 64 machine and facing below error .

    Could you please advise where I am wrong here .Seems this is java related error .

    I have set the java home and java version is 1.7.

     

    checkinstall:   (During prechecks )

    BUILD FAILED

    /home/oracle/install/checkinstall/gateway.xml:22: The following error occurred while executing this line:

    /home/oracle/install/checkinstall/checkinstall.xml:173: java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: level

      at org.apache.log4j.spi.RootLogger.setLevel(RootLogger.java:65)

    BUILD FAILED -: (while running install.sh )

    /home/oracle/install/gateway.xml:34: The following error occurred while executing this line:

    /home/oracle/install/install.xml:115: java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: level.

    Hi Suman,

    Installation not started due to this error and no logs were generated .Nothing is available in install.log file.

    I am not getting what is the error.can you please suggest me if anything I need to cross verify before start installation.

    What is displayed on the screen after you give the install command?

    Run the separate checkinstall to see if there is something missing in the environment setup.

    Hi Udaya,

     

    From the error it looks like your third party tools and path variable set up is not correctly done. Can you test the java path.

    Not sure how to cross verify , below is the details of path and JAVA_HOME.

    Can you please advise on the next step .

    It looks perfectly ok, I would say at this point raise a support case so that we can see your environment and troubleshoot.
